When will I receive my order?
If a proof is required, proof turnaround time varies for each designer. Typical turnaround time for proofs is 2-3 business days. Listed below is an approximate estimate of production time (in addition to proof times) for each manufacturer:

In most cases, your order will ship directly from the manufacturer. Listed below is a general estimate of time for ground shipping. (Overnight and second day air shipping are also available in which shipping time will decrease, but production time will remain the same.) How long will it take to receive a proof?
Proof turnaround time varies for each designer. Typical turnaround time is 2-3 business days.
Do I have to pay for my proof?
All orders come with one complimentary email or fax proof. An extra charge will apply for additional proofs (depends on manufacturer). For photo card products, a paid proof may be required on your order (depends on manufacturer).
Do you accept rush orders?
Yes. Many items can be shipped via UPS 2-Day. Please bear in mind that rush orders can be applied to shipping options but that individual manufacturer processing times will still apply. Please contact us for rush shipping prices & options.
What are the guidelines for submitting a digital photo?
Photos must be submitted as .jpg files at a resolution of no less than 300 dpi. They should not be cropped or altered from the original digital format. If necessary, our designers reserve the right to crop your photo for best appearance. The finished product will depend on the quality of the photo image provided.
Please email all photos to info@bella-butterfly.com. In the subject line, specify your invoice number and name the photo file with your first and last name. In the email, indicate whether you would like the photo to be in black/white or color. Depending on the manufacturer, a paid proof may be required on your order. Bella Butterfly Paper Designs nor its manufacturers will be held legally liable for photo-related issues.
May I order birth announcements before my baby is born?
Yes. You are welcome to place your order prior to the baby’s arrival. Please note in the “special instructions” section that it’s a pre-order and that you’ll follow up with us once the baby has arrived. Call or email us the baby’s statistics at info@bella-butterfly.com and be sure to reference your invoice number. Depending on manufacturer, pre-shipment of envelopes prior to your baby’s birth may be available for an additional fee. If you are interested in this option, please contact us at info@bella-butterfly.com for additional information.
Can you pre-ship envelopes?
Some of our manufacturers offer pre-shipment of envelopes. If you are interested in this option, please contact us at info@bella-butterfly.com for prices.
Do you have a storefront?
No. Bella Butterfly Paper Designs sells online and via appointment with local customers.
What methods of payment do you accept?
Bella Butterfly Paper Designs prefers checks, but we accept all major credit cards and e-checks via PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to use your credit card to process an order. If checks do not clear, a $25.00 insufficient funds fee will be added to the order and an alternate form of immediate payment will be required via PayPal.
When am I charged for the order?
An invoice will be emailed/mailed to you upon placing an order. Full payment is required PRIOR to processing the order.
Do you charge sales tax?
Bella Butterfly Paper Designs collects sales tax from California state residents at 7.75%. If you reside in San Mateo County, sales tax is 8.25%. Residents in other states will not be charged sales tax.
Do you sell to International customers?
No. Currently, we only sell to customers within the United States.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Once an order is placed it goes into the queue for production. If you want to change or cancel an order please CALL immediately at 650-280-6969. Once an order is released for production, it may not be canceled.
How much is shipping?

May I return products?
We only accept returns on non-customized items such as boxed stationery. We are not able to accept returns on custom orders such as invitations.
May I order blank stock of your invitations and stationery?
Yes. The following manufacturers sell items in blank stock for you to print at home: Mara Mi, Paper Prince, Putman House, and SanLori Designs. If you are interested in blank stock, please contact us for prices.
How do I talk to a "live body"?

May I track my order?
Once an order is placed, you will receive an email confirmation with tracking information. Once an order has shipped, another email will be sent with shipping details.
May I place my order over the phone?
Yes. You can call us at 650-280-6969. We are a small operation, so we may not be able to take your call immediately. Please leave us a message with your contact information and your call will be returned within the same business day.
